Anthony Survey, Abstract No. 1460, and the Day Land & Cattle Survey, Abstract No. 1042, Harris County, Texas, to Seabrook Pipeline, LLC, in consideration of its payment to the City of $56,493.00 and other consideration - DISTRICT E - MARTIN

Background:

SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the sale and conveyance of a 30 foot-wide subsurface pipeline easement traversing the City of Houston Southeast Water Purification Plant, Tracts 1A, 1A-1, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1J, 1K, 3A and 4C, out of the William H. Anthony Survey, A-1460, W.C. R.R. Co. Survey, A-933, and the Day Land and Cattle Company Survey, A-1042. Parcel SY17-032

RECOMMENDATION:  (Summary) It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale and conveyance of a 30 foot-wide subsurface pipeline easement traversing the City of Houston Southeast Water Purification Plant, Tracts 1A, 1A-1, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1J, 1K, 3A and 4C, in exchange for a consideration of $56,493.00, out of the William H. Anthony Survey, A-1460, W.C. R.R. Co. Survey, A-933, and the Day Land and Cattle Company Survey, A-1042. Parcel SY17-032

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:

Keith Hogan, on behalf of Seabrook Pipeline, LLC (Magellan Pipeline GP, LLC [Michael Pearson, Vice President], General Partner) requested the sale and conveyance of a 30 foot-wide subsurface pipeline easement traversing the City of Houston Southeast Water Purification Plant, Tracts 1A, 1A-1, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1J, 1K, 3A and 4C, out of the William H. Anthony Survey, A-1460, W.C. R.R. Co. Survey, A-933, and the Day Land and Cattle Company Survey, A-1042.  The applicant plans to use the requested 30 foot-wide subsurface pipeline easement for a 24-inch crude pipeline. The Joint Referral Committee reviewed and approved the request subject to receiving a no objection clearance from the  Department of Public Works and Engineering-Houston Water.  Seabrook Pipeline, LLC has complied with the transaction requirements, has accepted the City’s offer, and has rendered payment in full.

Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale and conveyance of a 30 foot-wide subsurface pipeline easement traversing the City of Houston Southeast Water Purification Plant, Tracts 1A, 1A-1, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1G, 1H, 1J, 1K, 3A and 4C, in exchange for a consideration of $56,493.00, out of the William H. Anthony Survey, A-1460, W.C. R.R. Co. Survey, A-933, and the Day Land and Cattle Company Survey, A-1042.
