RESOLUTION in support of the City’s plan to reform the City’s three Pension Systems, the Houston Police Officers’ Pension System, the Houston Municipal Employees Pension System, and the Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund, to ensure long-term, secure, and dependable retirement systems |

The Administration has worked with representatives of the Houston Municipal Employees Retirement System, the Houston Police Officers Pension System, and the Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund since January to develop comprehensive pension reform for the City of Houston. If approved, this resolution of support will express Council’s endorsement of the plan negotiated by Mayor Turner and City staff. Details are included in term sheets attached to the resolution.
