Dear Council Members:
Pursuant to Texas Tax Code, Chapter 311 and City of Houston, Texas Ordinance Nos. 1999-759 and 2011-727, I am nominating the following individuals for reappointment to the Reinvestment Zone Number Seventeen (Memorial City), City of Houston, Texas Board of Directors, subject to Council confirmation:
John Rickel, reappointment to Position Two, for a term to expire July 20, 2018;
Ann Thomas Givens, reappointment to Position Four, for a term to expire July 20, 2018, and
to serve as Chair for a term ending December 31, 2016;
and
Bradley R. Freels, reappointment to Position Six, for a term to expire July 20, 2018.
Pursuant to the bylaws of the Memorial City Redevelopment Authority, as approved by City of Houston, Texas Resolution No. 2002-26, appointment of a director to the Board of Directors of this Zone constitutes appointment of that director to the corresponding position of the Board of Directors of the Authority for the same term.
