In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of Lot 105, Block 3 of the Denver Harbor Addition Section 3 Subdivision initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Area (SMLSA). The application includes a petition signed from the owners of 17% of the area. The Planning and Development Department mailed response forms to one hundred thirty-eight (138) property owners indicating that the SMLSA application had been submitted. The mailing further stated that their response on the form must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. The Department received response forms signed by owners of 73% of the SMLSA in support of the designated proposed area. The Houston Planning Commission considered the application on July 21, 2016 and voted to recommend that the City Council establish the SMLSA.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 5,600 square feet on one hundred thirty-eight (138) lots in the Denver Harbor Addition Sections 1, 2 & 3 Subdivisions and Harbourdale Section 1 Subdivision.
