RECOMMENDATION: (Summary)
It is recommended City Council amend Ordinance Number 2016-485 passed on June 22, 2016, to authorize and approve the acquisition of Parcels AY16-013 and CY15-003 for the ACQUISITION OF REAL ESTATE FOR LIFT STATION RENEWAL AND REPLACEMENT- FINDLAY, GARDEN VILLAS, GOODYEAR AND REVEILLE LIFT STATIONS PROJECT by dedication, purchase, or condemnation.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
This project is part of a program to rehabilitate, replace, consolidate or divert wastewater lift stations throughout the City. It provides for design and construction of the required improvements, including structural, mechanical and electrical components at the lift stations. This program is needed for reliable and efficient collection of wastewater throughout the City. It protects public health and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
By Ordinance Number 2016-485, City Council authorized and approved the acquisition of parcels by dedication, purchase, or condemnation for the ACQUISITION OF REAL ESTATE FOR LIFT STATION RENEWAL AND REPLACEMENT- FINDLAY, GARDEN VILLAS, GOODYEAR AND REVEILLE LIFT STATIONS PROJECT. Since the ordinance was passed, Parcels AY16-013 and CY15-003 have been added to the project.
Therefore, it is recommended that Council Ordinance Number 2016-485 be amended to include Parcels AY16-013 and CY15-003. Please note, a spelling error has been corrected for the word FINDLAY in the project name, which was misspelled as FINDLEY in prior Ordinance Number 2016-485. No funding is required for this action. Funding was previously appropriated under Ordinance 2009-706.
