The proposed amendment revises the scope of work for the Hunting Bayou Gaps hike and bike trail project.
The original project scope consisted of construction of approximately 5,000 linear feet of 10 foot wide trail on Hunting Bayou between Lockwood Drive and Falls Street to close a gap in the existing trail and connect Mickey Leland Memorial Park to Hutcheson Park.
During the preliminary design phase, the project team learned Harris County Flood Control District will be doing channel work at Lockwood that would impact a portion of the trail.
TxDOT has approved the Houston Parks and Recreation Department’s request to change the scope by reducing the trail length. The revised scope consists of construction of approximately 4,500 linear feet of 10-foot wide shared use path on the bank of Hunting Bayou between Lockwood Drive and Falls Street.
