Council is asked to amend the Houston Civic Events interlocal agreement to provide a maximum contract amount of $5,000,000.00.
On April 14, 2015 Council approved an interlocal agreement with the Houston Civic Events, Inc. (HCE) Council amended the agreement on December 8th, 2015 to include provisions for the disbursement of funds from the City of Houston to HCE.
Council is now asked to amend the interlocal agreement a second time, this time to add a maximum contract amount. Internal financial processes require this agreement be capped and Council is asked to set that cap at $5,000,000.00. This action will allow the administration to expedite a transfer of funds that will be used for the New Year’s Eve celebration and Inauguration.
Council approval is recommended.
