ORDINANCE appropriating $2,000,000.00 out of Water & Sewer System Consolidated Construction Fund and $1,020,000.00 out of Street & Traffic Control & Storm Drainage DDSRF for Fiscal Year 2016 funding for the Developer Participation Contracts (Approved by Ordinance No. 2008-0307, as amended)

SUBJECT:  Ordinance appropriating FY16 funding for the Developer Participation Contracts, S-000800-DPC1-7/R-000800-DPC1-7/M-430800-DPC1-7.

RECOMMENDATION:  (Summary)  Adopt an ordinance appropriating funding for Developer Participation Contract, Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Drainage for FY16.

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:

In accordance with Chapter 47 regarding the Developer Participation Program (Ordinance Number 2008-0307), the Director of the Department of Public Works and Engineering requests Council approval of the appropriations necessary to fund Developer Participation Contracts, Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Drainage for FY16. When a DPC application is administratively complete, but at least 10 days prior to approval by the Director, the Department shall provide the members of the City Council notice of the scope and location of the proposed budget as well as contact information for the developer.

The funding requested for FY16 will provide $3,020,000 to be available for new development projects in FY16 for water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage. For accounting simplification, previous DPC appropriations designated as S-000800-DPC1-4, R-000800-DPC1-4, M-430800-DPC1-4, M-000800-DPC1-4 are re-designated as S-000800-DPC1-7, R-000800-DPC1-7, M-430800-DPC1-7, M-000800-DPC1-7 in consistency with new project number assignments.
