ORDINANCE approving and authorizing the second amended and restated Strategic Partnership Agreement between the City of Houston and HARRIS COUNTY MUNICIPAL DISTRICT NO. 36 DISTRICT B - DAVIS

The City of Houston has negotiated an amendment to the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the City of Houston and Harris County MUD No. 36. Upon annexation the city will levy a 1 percent sales tax and all taxes collected in the area will be divided evenly between the City and the District.  The City will annex for limited purposes only commercial property and undeveloped land intended for commercial use. This District includes annexation of territory outside of the District’s boundary. The City will extend Section 6-3 of the Code of Ordinances regarding the running at large of domestic animals. There is no population located in this territory. There is no out-of-district territory being annexed, the city is not required to provide a service.

Two public hearings were held on November 4 and November 10.
