Summary:

ORDINANCE appropriating $50,000.00 out of the Equipment Acquisition Fund for the purchase of Projection and A/V Equipment for Kashmere and Northeast Multi-service Centers - DISTRICT B - DAVIS

Background:

The Houston Health Department (HHD) requests City Council to approve an ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $50,000 from Fund 1800.

 

During the FY16 budget process, Council Member Davis, District B, using his Council District Service Fund, agreed to allocate $50,000 to HHD for use in District B multi-service centers. HHD determined that the best use of the funding would be for the purchase of projection and A/V equipment for Kashmere and Northeast Multi-Service Centers. This equipment is much needed and can be obtained for an amount of under $50,000.

 

The AV equipment will be installed in the large auditoriums of the multi-service centers for use during large community meetings such as CIP, super neighborhood meetings, and council member town hall events. (WBS # H-CCB001)
