RECOMMENDATION: (Summary) Authority be given through Council Motion to PURCHASE Parcel JY15-003.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The NEW/REPLACEMENT WATER WELLS PROJECT (Sims Bayou at Blue Ridge Road), a part of the City’s program to upgrade and rehabilitate ground water production facilities, will meet the area’s water demand and ensure compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations.
The City will acquire 46,834 square feet in fee out of vacant land for the water well site. The City’s offer was based on an appraisal by Malcom W. Willey. The valuation was reviewed and recommended for approval by a senior staff appraiser of this department. The breakdown is as follows:

It is recommended that authority be given through Council Motion to PURCHASE Parcel JY15-003 located in the 13800 Block of Blue Ridge Road, owned by D & M Realty, LLC, Nadyrshah Dhanani, President. This parcel contains 1.075 acres (46,834 square feet) of land for a water well situated in the C.W. Adams Survey, A-101, Harris County, Texas, being a portion of that certain called 25.412 acre tract (designated as Tract V) of land conveyed to the D & M Realty, LLC by deed dated February 15, 2013 and recorded under Harris County Clerk’s File No. 20130078357, Film Code No. 041-47-1648 of the Official Public Records of Real Property, Harris County, Texas, according to City of Houston approved field notes.
