SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
Dowdell Public Utility District has petitioned the City of Houston for consent to add 29.1335 acres of land, located in the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction, to the district.
The Utility District Review Committee has evaluated the application with respect to wastewater collection and treatment, potable water distribution, storm water conveyance, and other public services.
The district is located in the vicinity of F.M. 2920, Stuebner Airline (F.M. 2920), Huffsmith Kuykendahl and Kuykendahl Road. The district desires to add 29.1335 acres, thus yielding a total of 1,154.2317 acres. The district is served by a district plant, the Dowdell Public Utility District Wastewater Treatment Plant. The nearest major drainage facility for Dowdell Public Utility District is Willow Creek which flows into Spring Creek, and finally into the San Jacinto River.
Potable water is provided by the district. By executing the Petition for Consent, the district has acknowledged that all plans for the construction of water conveyance, wastewater collection, and storm water collection systems within the district must be approved by the City of Houston prior to their construction.
