ORDINANCE approving and authorizing first amendment to contract for construction of and receipt of services in the City of Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant between the City of Houston and NORTHWOOD MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1 and INTERCONTINENTAL CROSSING MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT (Approved by Ordinance No. 1986-1824) - DISTRICT B - DAVIS

Background:

SUBJECT:  First Amendment to a Contract for Construction of and Receipt of Services in the City of Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant between the City of Houston, Northwood Municipal Utility District No. 1, and Intercontinental Crossing Municipal Utility District.  

 

RECOMMENDATION:  (Summary)  Approve an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a First Amendment to a Contract for Construction of and Receipt of Services in the City of Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant between the City of Houston, Northwood Municipal Utility District No. 1, and Intercontinental Crossing Municipal Utility District.             

 

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:   On November 6, 1986, Northwood Municipal Utility District No. 1 (“Northwood”) participated in the cost of construction of the City of Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and secured 2,000,000 gallons per day of wastewater treatment and capacity under the terms and conditions of the Contract for Construction of and Receipt of Services in the City of Houston’s Intercontinental Airport Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant contract (“Original Contract”).   

 

Northwood has requested consent to assign to Intercontinental Crossing Municipal Utility District (“Intercontinental Crossing”) 48,000 gallons per day of Northwood’s remaining 1,000,000 gallons per day capacity under the Original Contract.
