The Office of the City Attorney requests that City Council enact an ordinance approving and authorizing a legal services agreement with Coats Rose Yale Ryman & Lee PC (“Coats Rose”) for the provision of construction and insurance-related legal services for the Houston Airport System (“HAS”), as directed by the City Attorney. Such services may include consultation, research, advice, drafting, attendance at meetings, and representation related to specialized construction and insurance-related matters for the International Terminal Redevelopment Program (“ITRP”) at George Bush Intercontinental Airport/Houston (“IAH”). The contract term is for three years with two one-year option years and is terminable upon 24 hours’ notice by the City Attorney.
OBO has approved an MWBE goal waiver request because the specific services provided pursuant to this contract are non-divisible resulting in no available subcontracting opportunities for MWBE participation.
