SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: The General Services Department recommends that City Council award a construction contract to McKenna Contracting, Inc. on its low bid amount of $295,220.00 to provide construction services for Playground Fall Surface Replacements for the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of work consists of removing existing fall surface materials, filter fabric and drainage layer and replacing with new engineered wood fiber, filter fabric, gravel drainage layer and wear mats at 21 park sites.

The contract duration for this project is 120 calendar days.
