ORDINANCE approving and authorizing third amendments to various vendor agreements between the City and BAYTOWN MEALS ON WHEELS (FORMERLY FAITH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS), CITY OF JACINTO CITY, TEXAS, CITY OF LA PORTE,  CITY OF SOUTH HOUSTON, TEXAS, and THE SALVATION ARMY, respectively, to extend the term of the contracts for nutrition services to the elderly provided through the Harris County Area Agency on Aging; approving and authorizing fourth amendments to various vendor agreements between the City and INTERFAITH MINISTRIES FOR GREATER HOUSTON, EVELYN RUBENSTEIN JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF HOUSTON, TEXAS, NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS, INC., and YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF HOUSTON, respectively, to extend the term of the contracts for Nutrition Services to the elderly provided through the Harris County Area Agency on Aging; approving an ordinance amending 1) Ordinance Number 2009-0142, as amended, to increase the maximum contract amount of the contract between the City and INTERFAITH MINISTRIES FOR GREATER HOUSTON for Congregate and Home Delivered Meal Services, and 2) Ordinance Number 2009-0287, as amended, to increase the maximum contract amount of the contract between the City and YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF HOUSTON for Nutrition Services

The Houston Health Department (HHD) requests City Council to approve an ordinance authorizing amendments to extend the term of the contracts with the following nutrition service providers until September 30, 2016 and increase the maximum contract amount of contracts with Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston and Young Women’s Christian Association as indicated below:

1)     Baytown Meals on Wheels

2)     The City of Jacinto City

3)     The City of La Porte

4)     The City of South Houston

5)     Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston

6)     The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center

7)     Neighborhood Center Inc. (Sheltering Arms)

8)     The Salvation Army; and

9)     The Young Women's Christian Association of Greater Houston.

New Maximum Contract Amount: $33,468,880 

Total Funding Increase:  $1,166,240.00                                                          Fund 5030 – Federal State Local Passthrough
