Not Received - Not Considered - ORDINANCE approving first amendment to agreement for Professional Services, Contract No. C56949, between the City of Houston and CLARENCE A. WEST, Attorney At Law; providing a maximum contract amount - $80,000.00 - General Fund

On May 11, 2005, City Council approved Ordinance No. 05-0619 for an Agreement for Professional Services Contract C56949 (“Agreement”) with Clarence A. West, Attorney-at-Law, in connection with access line fee payment verifications for several telecommunications companies and other matters designated by the City Attorney. Under this Agreement, the attorney is currently assisting the City with the following projects:

· Claims against ATT before the Texas Public Utility Commission regarding overcharges

· Right-of-way issues

· Wireless telecommunications, such as small cell networks, and other emerging technologies

· Cable franchises matters

The City anticipates that his assistance will also be needed in potential future projects:

· Additional claims against ATT before the Texas Public Utility Commission

· Agreements with wireless telecommunications providers

Supplemental Allocation $80,000 - General Fund (1000)

$240,000 maximum contract amount
