SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The Fire Chief recommends that City Council adopt an Ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $1,600,000.00 from the FY 2016 Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund for the purpose of capital equipment items for HFD as approved in the FY2016 Equipment Acquisition Plan. The Appropriation ordinance is required to provide funding for the purchase of capital equipment by utilizing current City contract agreements or issue a purchase order for purchases under $50,000.00
Bunker Gear- This request is for the purchase of 880 pairs of Bunker Gear Pants at approximately $707.00 each, 880 Bunker Gear Coats at approximately $1,070.58 and 880 Bunker Gear Suspenders at approximately $37.28 each. The total cost of this purchase is approximately $1,600,000.00.
