The General Services Department recommends approval of a Third Amendment to the Lease Agreement with Bank of America, N.A. (Landlord), for approximately 6,173 square feet of space at 8400 Long Point for the Houston Police Department (HPD). HPD has leased this space for its Spring Branch Storefront since July 1, 1987. The current amended lease term commenced on March 1, 2013 and will expire on February 28, 2016, at a monthly rental of $2,000.00.
The proposed Third Amendment will extend the amended lease term by 36 months, commencing on March 1, 2016 and expiring February 28, 2019, at the monthly rental rate remaining at $2,000.00, and grant one, three-year option to renew at the then current market rental rate.
The Landlord will provide maintenance, utilities and janitorial services.
All other terms and conditions of the original lease remain the same. |
