Summary:

ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2023-267 (Passed on April 19, 2023); approving and authorizing first amendment to contract with SIDDONS MARTIN EMERGENCY GROUP, LLC to amend Exhibit E (Fees and Costs) for Pierce/Oshkosh Replacement Parts and Services for the Fleet Management Department

Background:

S05-L32506.A1 - Approve an ordinance authorizing a first amendment to Contract No. 4600017548 between the City of Houston and Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC (approved by Ordinance No. 2023-267, passed April 19, 2023) to amend Exhibit E (Fees and Costs) for Pierce/Oshkosh replacement parts and repair services for the Fleet Management Department.

 

Specific Explanation:

The Director of the Fleet Management Department and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve an ordinance authorizing a first amendment to the contract between the City of Houston and Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC to amend Exhibit E (Fees and Costs) for Pierce/Oshkosh Replacement Parts and Repair Services for the Fleet Management Department.

 

This contract was awarded on April 19, 2023, by Ordinance No. 2023-267 for a three-year term with two one-year options to renew in the amount not to exceed $1,121,878.66. The contract term is from April 24, 2023, to April 23, 2026. Expenditures as of September 11, 2025, totaled $510,475.46. The Fees and Costs exhibit is being amended to correct the markup for parts.

 

The scope of work requires the contractor to provide all supervision, tools, parts, equipment, transportation, and facilities necessary to provide turnkey repair services for Pierce/Oshkosh fire trucks. The contractor will be required to repair Pierce/Oshkosh fire trucks' equipment malfunctions, including mechanical repairs and any other repair service or alteration that may be deemed necessary due to vehicle accidents and/or normal wear and tear.

 

M/WBE Subcontracting:

Zero percentage goal-document approved by the Office of Business Opportunity.

 

Fiscal Note:

There is no impact to the fiscal budget or no additional spending authority. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies.
