2015-259 - ORDINANCE approving and authorizing first amendment to the Treated Water Supply Contract between the City of Houston and the CITY OF HILSHIRE VILLAGE (Approved by Ordinance No. 1996-1175 as amended) for the addition of a Secondary Point of Delivery - Revenue

SUBJECT:  An Ordinance to approve the First Amendment to a Water Supply Contract between the City of Houston and the City of Hilshire Village.

RECOMMENDATION:  (Summary)  Approve an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a First Amendment to a Water Supply Contract between the City of Houston and the City of Hilshire Village.  

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:   The City of Houston (“Houston”), City Council, approved a Treated Water Supply Contract (“Original Contract”) on November 6, 1996, Ordinance 96-1175 with the City of Hilshire Village (“Hilshire”) so that Houston could sell treated water to Hilshire.   

Hilshire has requested to amend the Original Contract to add an additional Point of Delivery and replace Exhibit A of the Original Contract with the new Exhibit A that illustrates the original and proposed Points of Delivery.  Hilshire is not requesting to increase the amount of water that Hilshire uses or is entitled to use.  

Approval of the First Amendment is requested.
