CALDWELL COUNTRY CHEVROLET for two Chevy Tahoes for the Fleet Management Department on behalf of the Office of Emergency Management - $177,000.00 - Enterprise Fund

Background:

Formal Bids Received March 28th, 2024, for P05-DOC1324708391–Approve an award in the total amount of $177,000.00 for two (2) Chevy Tahoes from Caldwell Country Chevrolet, for the Fleet Management Department on behalf of the Office of Emergency Management.

 

Specific Explanation:

The Chief Procurement Officer and the Director of the Fleet Management Department (FMD) recommend that City Council approve an award in the total amount of $177,000.00 for two (2) Chevy Tahoes from Caldwell Country Chevrolet for the Office of Emergency Management.

 

This purchase consists of two (2) Chevy Tahoes. The Office of Emergency Management will use these vehicles for daily activities, including site visits and offsite meetings.

 

These vehicles come with full warranties of three years or 36,000.00 miles. The life expectancy of these vehicles is seven years or 100,000 miles.

 

The Fleet Management Department has vetted and approved these vehicles. These vehicles will be additions to the Fleet.

 

This project was advertised in accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas bid laws, and two (2) bids were received.

 

Caldwell Country Chevrolet: Award on its low bid meeting specifications in an amount not to exceed $177,000.00

In this case, Caldwell Country Chevrolet does not meet the requirements for HHF designation, no HHF firms were within three percent

 

Fiscal Note:

Funding for this item is included in the FY25 Adopted Budget. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies.
