The Office of Emergency Management requests City Council approval of an ordinance authorizing a contract amendment to increase spending authority with Houston Community Toolbank. The contract is to purchase and maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment for disaster clean-up and recovery needs.
It is recommended that City Council authorize the amended agreement with Houston Community Toolbank. The term of the agreement is one year with four (4) one-year renewal options. The scope of work requires Houston Community Toolbank to loan tools to members of the community impacted by a disaster to assist with recovery efforts. Tools will be purchased based on requests by Council Districts A, B, C, D, F, G, H, and I with funding provided through the Council District Service Fund Program.
Funding includes program management costs and the cost of supply purchases. The original contract agreement is $353,618.00. The amended total agreement value is $818,618.00.
Fiscal Note:
Funding for this item is included in the FY2025 Adopted Budget. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies.
