ORDINANCE establishing the north and south sides of the 1000 Block of W. Cottage Street, between Norhill Boulevard and Michaux Street, within the City of Houston, Texas, as a Special Minimum Lot Size Block pursuant to Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances, Houston, Texas; making findings and containing other provisions related to the foregoing subject - DISTRICT H - CASTILLO

In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 1001 block of W. Cottage Street, Lot 20, Block 129, in the North Norhill subdivision, has initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 60% of the block.

The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to twenty (20) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that a written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Since no protest was filed in accordance with the Code, no action is required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application may be submitted directly to the City Council for consideration.

The Planning and Development Department recommends that the City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 5,000 square feet for the 1000 block of W. Cottage Street, on the north and south sides, between Norhill Boulevard and Micheaux Street.
