S76-T26501.A1 - Approve an ordinance authorizing a first amendment to Contract No. 4600015793 between the City of Houston and LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions, Inc. (approved by Ordinance No. 2019-0916 passed November 20, 2019) to extend the revenue contract term from November 24, 2024, to November 24, 2025, for a traffic accident report sales website for the Houston Police Department.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The Chief of the Houston Police Department (HPD) and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve an ordinance authorizing a first amendment to Contract No. 4600015793 between the City of Houston and LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions, Inc. (approved by Ordinance No. 2019-0916, passed on November 20, 2019) to extend the revenue contract term from November 24, 2024, to November 24, 2025.
The original revenue contract was awarded by City Council on November 25, 2019, by Ordinance No. 2019-0916 for a three-year term with two, one-year options to renew. The purpose of extending the contract term is to allow services to continue and to enable the City sufficient time to complete a new procurement and have a new contract in place. No funds will be necessary to carry the City through the additional one-year term.
The scope of work requires contractor LexisNexis Coplogic Solutions, Inc. to continue providing the website services that include portal design, availability, management, maintenance, and accessibility (24/7) of traffic accident reports (TAR) obtained by HPD. This revenue-based agreement supports the needs of citizens and insurance companies at a fixed rate while no fees will apply to the City of Houston, HPD, or authorized City personnel logging in for needed data or reports.
MWBE Participation:
A prior Pre-Award Good Faith Efforts submission by the contractor explained why this requirement had no subcontracting opportunities. After a thorough review, the Office of Business Opportunity approved a 0% MWBE goal for this agreement.
Fiscal Note:
There is no impact to the fiscal budget or no additional spending authority. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies.
