SUBJECT: Accept Work for FY2022 Street & Drainage Rehabilitation Contract #2.
RECOMMENDATION: (SUMMARY) Pass a motion to approve the final Contract Amount of $3,946,837.33 or 1.33% under the original Contract Amount, accept the Work and authorize final payment.
PROJECT NOTICE/JUSTIFICATION: This project was part of the Transportation and Drainage Operations Program and provided work authorization on a location-by-location as-needed basis, to preserve, repair, rehabilitate, or reconstruct the stormwater drainage asset along with street rehabilitation to such a condition that it may be effectively used for its designated functional purpose.
DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: This project provided construction services to resolve localized stormwater drainage problems and rehabilitated the street to further improve the drainage. The project was allotted 730 calendar days for construction. The project was awarded to Grava, LLC with an original Contract Amount of $4,000,000.00.

CONTRACT COMPLETION AND COST: The Contractor, Grava, LLC, has completed the work under the subject Contract. The project was completed within the original Contract time. The final cost of the project, including overrun and underrun of estimated unit price quantities is $3,946,837.33 a decrease of $53,162.67 or 1.33% under the original Contract Amount and under the 5% contingency amount. The decreased cost is a result of the difference between planned and measured quantities.
M/WSBE PARTICIPATION: The advertised M/WBE contract goals for this project were 13.00% MBE, and 7.00% WBE. The M/WSBE goals approved for this project were 9.00% MBE, 4.00 SBE, and 7.00% WBE. According to the Office of Business Opportunity, the actual participation achieved on this project was 17.30% MBE, 17.80% SBE, and 7.86% WBE. The MWSBE performance on this project was rated Outstanding for the following reasons: the MBE, SBE, and WBE goals were achieved and all goal credit subcontractors were used to fully capacity. For the reasons listed, the MWSBE performance meets the good faith efforts requirements mandated by the City`s MWSBE Program.
