| | | | | | | | Summary:
ORDINANCE establishing the north side of the 400 Block of Byrne Street, between Helen and Florence Streets, within the City of Houston, Texas, as a Special Minimum Lot Size Block pursuant to Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances, Houston, Texas - DISTRICT H - CASTILLO |
| | | | | | | | Background:
In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 409 Byrne Street, Tracts 14 & 15A, Block 12, in the Woodland Heights Subdivision, has initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 87% of the block.
The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to seven (7) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that a written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Since no protest was filed in accordance with the Code and no action is required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application may be submitted directly to the City Council for consideration.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 5,000 square feet for the 400 block of Byrne Street, north side, between Helen and Florence Streets.
