ORDINANCE establishing the south side of the 1200 Block of Cavalcade Street, between Cochran Street and Gano Street, within the City of Houston, Texas, as a Special Minimum Lot Size Block pursuant to Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances, Houston, Texas - DISTRICT H - CASTILLO

In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 4710 Cochran Street, Tract 2A, Block 125, in the Ryon Subdivision, initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 100% of the block.

The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to four (4) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that a written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Since no protest was filed in accordance with the Code and no action is required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application may be submitted directly to City Council for consideration.

The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 3,750 square feet for the 1200 block of Cavalcade Street, south side, between Cochran and Gano Streets.
