PROJECT LOCATION: 11250 Braesridge Dr., Houston, Texas 77071
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project removed and remediated one 1,000-gallon gasoline UST and one 1,000-gallon diesel UST, due to aging, and replaced with a 5,000-gallon, two-compartment UST, which consists of a 3,000-gallon gasoline compartment and a 2,000-gallon diesel compartment.
CONTRACT COMPLETION AND COST: The contractor completed the project within 115 days, 5 days less than the original contract time of 120 days. The project’s final cost, including change orders, is $354,982.39 a decrease of $15,567.61 below the original contract amount.
M/W/SBE PARTICIPATION: No City M/WBE participation goal was established for this project as the contract amount does not exceed the threshold of $1,000,000.00 required for goal-oriented contracts per Section 15-82 of the City Code of Ordinances.
PREVIOUS CHANGE ORDERS: The change orders relocated a 10-inch PVC drain line which would have interfered with the placement of the new UST and provided a credit to the City for materials and work not required to complete the project.
