Summary:

ORDINANCE appropriating $1,412,558.00 out of Dedicated Drainage and Street Renewal Capital Fund – Ad Valorem Tax; approving and authorizing agreement for Right-of-Way Utility Adjustments between City of Houston, SUNOCO PIPELINE L.P., and ETP CRUDE LLC for relocation of two 8-inch pipelines to accommodate the widening of Greens Road; providing funding for CIP Cost Recovery - DISTRICT B - JACKSON

Background:

SUBJECT: Contractual Agreement for Right-of-Way Utility Adjustments between the City of Houston, Sunoco Pipeline L.P., and ETP Crude LLC for Greens Road from John F. Kennedy Boulevard to US 59.

 

RECOMMENDATION: Adopt an ordinance approving and authorizing a Contractual Agreement for Right-of-Way Utility Adjustments between the City of Houston, Sunoco Pipeline L.P., and ETP Crude LLC and appropriate funds. 

 

LOCATION: The project area is generally bound by Hardy Toll Road on the north, Beltway 8 on the south, Aldine Westfield Road on the east, and US 59 on the west. 

SCOPE OF THE AGREEMENT AND FEE:  The agreement between the City of Houston, Sunoco Pipeline L.P., and ETP Crude LLC entails the dual relocation of two 8-inch pipelines to accommodate the widening of Greens Road. Upon approval of the agreement by Council, a Notice to Proceed will be issued to both Sunoco Pipeline L.P.  and ETP Crude LLC to begin their relocation. The City will not be responsible for cost exceeding $1,345,293.14.

 

The total requested amount of $1,412,558.00 is to be appropriated as follows: $1,345,293.14 for cost of the project and $67,264.86 CIP Cost Recovery.

 

FISCAL NOTE: No significant Fiscal Operating Impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
