Background:
The Texas Election Code requires City Council to canvass the returns of the November 7, 2023 General and Special Elections (collectively, the “Election”) not later than 11 days after the Election.
The proposed ordinance confirms the number of votes cast in the Election and the results of the Election.
The proposed ordinance is in the customary form to conduct the canvass and is recommended for approval.
