RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of a 57 foot-wide gas pipeline easement out of a 1.0914 acre tract of City fee-owned land, located out of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. CO. Survey, A-172, in exchange for a consideration of $8,402.00. Parcel SY23-072
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
Elio Ramos, of Cobb Fendley, on behalf of CenterPoint Energy, requested the sale of a 57 foot-wide gas pipeline easement out of a 1.0914 acre tract of City fee-owned land, located out of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. CO. Survey, A-172.The applicant plans to use the subject property for the installation of a 20-inch steel natural gas line to serve the population growth in the Houston area and outside the city limits.The Joint Referral Committee reviewed and approved the request.
CenterPoint Energy has complied with the transaction requirement, has accepted the City's offer, and has rendered payment.
The City will sell to CenterPoint Energy:
Parcel SY23-072
3,653 square feet gas pipeline easement:
Valued at $4.60 per square foot x 50%......................$8,402.00 (R).
TOTAL SALE: $8,402.00
Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the sale of a 57 foot-wide gas pipeline easement out of a 1.0914 acre tract of City fee-owned land, located out of the B.B.B. & C.R.R. CO. Survey, A-172, , in exchange for a consideration of $8,402.00.
Fiscal Note:
"Revenue for this item is included in the FY2024 Adopted Budget. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policies."
