ORDINANCE renewing the establishment of the east and west sides of the 1000 block of Columbia Street, between East 11th Street and East 10th Street, within the City of Houston, Texas as a Special Minimum Building Line Requirement Block pursuant to the Code of Ordinances, Houston, Texas - DISTRICT C - KAMIN

In accordance with Section 42-170 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 1010 Columbia Street, Lots 15 and 16 Block 221 in the Houston Heights subdivision, has initiated an application to renew a Special Minimum Building Line Block (SMBLB).

The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to twenty-three (23) property owners indicating that the SMBLB renewal application had been submitted. The notification further stated that a written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. In accordance with the Code, since no protest was filed, no action was required by the Houston Planning Commission to submit the application to the City Council.

The neighborhood and building line has remained unchanged since the original ordinance (2003-310) was passed in 2003.

The Planning and Development Department recommends City Council adopt an ordinance renewing a Special Minimum Building Line of 24 feet for the 1000 block of Columbia Street, east and west sides, between East 11th and East 10th Streets.
