In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 3241 Garapan Street, Lot 302, in the White Oak Terrace subdivision, initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB).
The application includes written evidence of support from 62% of the block owners. The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to twenty-five (25) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that a written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. In accordance with the Code, since no protest was filed and no action was required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application was submitted directly to City Council for consideration.
The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 7,200 square feet for the 2500-2700 blocks of Garapan Street, north and south sides, between Nuben and Goldspier Streets.
