Houston Public Library’s multi-year capital improvement plan, “One Houston One Library” will transform delivery of library services by providing equitable access to library resources throughout the City of Houston.
This eminent domain proceeding involves the acquisition of three separate parcels of land: parcel GY23-007 containing a total of 5,750 square feet of land, parcel GY23-014 containing 11,500 square feet of land and parcel GY23-016 containing 5,750 square feet of land (the “Properties”). The Properties are located in northwest Houston in the Inwood Forest Area off of Victory Drive. Prior to sending the matter to the Legal Department, the City attempted to negotiate a purchase of the property, but those efforts were unsuccessful.
