Summary:

ORDINANCE establishing the north side of the 4600 block of Roseneath Drive, between Blythewood Street and Calhoun Road, within the City of Houston, Texas as a Special Minimum Lot Size Block pursuant to Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances, Houston, Texas - DISTRICT D - EVANS-SHABAZZ

Background:

In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of 4609 Roseneath Drive, Lot 1, Block 1, in the Calhoun Manor subdivision initiated an application for the designation of a Special Minimum Lot Size Block (SMLSB). The application includes written evidence of support from the owners of 100% of the block.

 

The Planning and Development Department mailed notifications to three (3) property owners indicating that the SMLSB application had been submitted. The notification further stated that written protest must be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. In accordance with the Code, since no protest was filed and no action was required by the Houston Planning Commission, the application was submitted directly to City Council for consideration.

The Planning and Development Department recommends that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 23,200 square feet for the 4600 block of Roseneath Drive, north side, between Blythewood Street and Calhoun Road.
