SUBJECT: Motion establishing a public hearing date for a Fourth Amended Project Plan and Reinvestment Zone Financing Plan for Reinvestment Zone Number Twenty-One, City of Houston, Texas (Hardy/Near Northside Zone)
RECOMMENDATION:
To establish a public hearing date for the Fourth Amended Project Plan and Reinvestment Zone Financing Plan for Reinvestment Zone Number Twenty-One, City of Houston, Texas (Hardy/Near Northside Zone)
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
On November 30, 2022, the Board of Directors for Reinvestment Zone Number Twenty-One (“Hardy/Near Northside Zone”) and the Near Northside Redevelopment Authority will consider approving the proposed Fourth Amended Project Plan and Reinvestment Zone Financing Plan for Hardy/Near Northside Zone (the “Fourth Amended Plan”) and, upon approval, will submit the Fourth Amended Plan to the City for consideration by City Council. The Fourth Amended Plan will reflect proposed changes to the boundaries of the Hardy/Near Northside Zone.
Pursuant to Texas Tax Code Section 311.011(e), a public hearing must be held prior to City Council’s consideration of ordinances annexing territory into the Hardy/Near Northside Zone and approving the Fourth Amended Plan. The Administration recommends that City Council set the public hearing date for December 14, 2022.
