SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: The General Services Department recommends that City Council approve the final contract amount of $442,000.00, accept the work and authorize final payment to Times Construction, Inc. for construction services in connection with Sylvan Rodriguez Park Boardwalk, for the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.
PROJECT LOCATION: 1201 Clear Lake City Blvd., Houston TX 77062
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project installed hardscape improvements including concrete flatwork, wood-framed boardwalk construction with composite decking and boardwalk foundations.
Clark Condon Associates, Inc. was the design consultant for this project.
CONTRACT COMPLETION AND COST: The contractor completed the project within 164 days: the original contract time of 60 days, plus 104 days approved by Change Orders. The final cost of the project, including Change Orders, is $442,000.00 - the original contract amount.
PREVIOUS CHANGE ORDER: Change Order 1 added non-compensable days due to inclement weather and supply chain issues.
M/WBE PARTICIPATION: No City MWBE participation goal was established for this project as the contract amount does not exceed the threshold of $1,000,000.00 required for goal-oriented contracts per Section 15-82 of the City Code of Ordinances.
