In accordance with Section 42-197 of the Code of Ordinances, the property owner of the west 57 feet of lots 5 & 6, Block 2 of the Depenbrock Allen Section 62 Subdivision initiated an application for the designation of a special minimum lot size area. The application includes a petition signed from the owners of 18% of the area. Response forms were mailed to three hundred eighty-two (382) property owners indicating that the special minimum lot size area application had been submitted. The notification further stated that their response on the form would be filed with the Planning and Development Department within thirty days of mailing. Response forms were signed by owners of 59% of the SMLSA in support of the designated proposed area. The Houston Planning Commission considered the application on October 30, 2014 and voted to recommend that the City Council establish the Special Minimum Lot Size Area. The Planning and Development Department and the Houston Planning Commission recommend that City Council adopt an ordinance establishing a Special Minimum Lot Size of 4,500 square feet for Abstract 1 J Austin Schultz; Abstract 1 J Austin; Allen A C, Blocks 43, 44, 52-55, 61 & 62; Cristina Jamaux Estates, Block 1; Depenbrock Allen Section 62, Blocks 1-6; Depenbrock Section 2, Blocks 1 & 2; Hogan Street Addition, Block 1; Hogan Street Section 2, Block 1; Quitman Estates, Block 1; Quitman T/H, Block 1; Quitman Terrace, Block 1; Richter; Schultz; Tract 7c and Wrightwood Subdivision.
