Ordinance appropriating $1,625,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund for the Outcome Based Budgeting Project for Houston Information Technology Services and various other departments.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The Finance Director recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $1,625,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for the Outcome Based Budgeting Project. The following project is budgeted in the approved FY2023 Capital Improvement Plan adopted by City Council.

This project will hire a third-party professional services vendor to manage the business transformation for outcome-based budgeting (OBB). The selected vendor will also recommend and support the implementation strategy for a Business Process model that enhances the City’s current budget processes by aligning City resources to program results and desired outcomes. The existing agreement for Enterprise Application Support Services (OA#: 4600015374) will be utilized for this purchase of professional services.
Fiscal Note:
No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
