The Fondren Road Paving and Drainage Project (from Creekbend Drive to West Airport Boulevard) provides for the design and reconstruction of Fondren Road as a four lane divided roadway with intersection, safety, multimodal and drainage improvements consistent with the City of Houston’s Vision Zero policy.
This eminent domain proceeding involves the acquisition of an easement interest to one parcel of land containing a total of 150 square feet. The property is located at 11000 Fondren Road in the City of Houston. The property is owned by Thomas George and Babu K. George. Prior to sending the matter to the Legal Department, the City attempted to negotiate a purchase of the property, but those efforts were unsuccessful. The matter was then referred to the Legal Department to initiate eminent domain proceedings to acquire the needed property.
