Approve an ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $386,163.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for vehicles and equipment purchases for the Fleet Management Department (FMD) and Houston Fire Department (HFD).
Specific Explanation:
The Chief Business Officer/Director of Finance recommends that City Council approve an ordinance authorizing the appropriation of $386,163.00 out of the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (Fund 1800).
The appropriation will cover the purchase of the following:
Fleet Management Department:
- Three 1 Ton Utility Trucks ($154,911.00)
- AC Recovery Machines and Tire Machines ($58,000.00)
Houston Fire Department:
- Emergency response boat and refurbishing evacuation boats and purchase of new trailers ($173,252.00)
The vehicles and equipment listed will replace end of life vehicles and other equipment that is no longer in service.
SPD will come back to council as needed in accordance with city procurement procedures.
Fiscal Note:
No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
