ORDINANCE approving and authorizing $100,000.00 out of Property and Casualty Fund and approving and authorizing the execution of a Compromise and Settlement Agreement between City of Houston and AMG CITYVIEW APARTMENTS, LLC through its authorized agent, Steve Moore; to settle a claim - DISTRICT B - JACKSON

Settlement approval is requested for this matter, which will resolve a claim filed with the City of Houston Legal Department.

This is a property damage claim sustained at the Villa Serena Communities apartment complex owned by Claimant, AMG Cityview Apartments, LLC. The claimants allege that on or about May 2, 2020, a Houston Police Department Helicopter, came down on the Villa Serena Communities apartment complex damaging a building and structures at the apartment complex.

Based on the lowest of three damage estimates Claimant AMG Cityview Apartments, LLC was required to obtain, I recommend this matter be settled for $100,000.00 with warrant made payable to AMG Cityview Apartments, LLC, 100 Glenborough Dr. #1000, Houston, Texas 77067.

Funding for this item is included in the FY 2022 Adopted Budget. Therefore, no Fiscal Note is required as stated in the Financial Policy Ord. 2014-1078.
