RECOMMENDATION:
Pass a Motion to approve the final contract amount of $396,682.46, or 0.18% under the original construction contract amount of $397,408.00, to accept work, to close the contract, and to authorize final payment.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The contractor, Boyer, Inc., has completed all the work required under the contract in the amount of $396,682.46 for the Turkey Creek Drainage Gates Rehabilitation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport/Houston (IAH).
Work under the contract included the drainage gate rehabilitation of four individual gates located on Turkey Creek that had previously suffered storm damage in 2016.
There were no change orders associated with this project.
During construction, the project was managed and inspected by Houston Airport System (HAS)
personnel.
It is now requested that City Council pass a motion to approve the final contract amount of $396,682.46, or 0.18% under the original construction contract amount of $397,408.00.
