SUBJECT: First Amendment to Professional Engineering Services Contract between the City and Jones & Carter, Inc., for 48-Inch Water Line from SH 288 to Cullen Boulevard along East Orem Drive.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve First Amendment to the Professional Engineering Services Contract with Jones & Carter, Inc.
PROJECT NOTICE/JUSTIFICATION: This project is part of the design and construction of transmission and distribution lines to convey treated water.
DESCRIPTION/SCOPE: This project consists of design and construction of approximately 10,000 linear feet of 48-Inch Water Line from Cullen Boulevard to State Highway 288.
LOCATION: The project area is located along East Orem Drive from State Highway 288 to Cullen Boulevard.
PREVIOUS HISTORY AND SCOPE: City Council approved the original Contract on September 8, 2021 under Ordinance No. 2021-0782. The scope of services under the Original Contract consisted of Phase I - Preliminary Design, Phase II – Final Design, Phase III - Construction Phase Services and Additional Services.
SCOPE OF THIS AMENDMENT: Under the scope of this First Amendment, the original Exhibit A-1 that was included in the contract at the time of council award will be replaced in its entirety with the most current version. The Exhibit A-1 serves as an added exhibit to the contract which outlines detailed scope of work that is not included in the standard Professional Engineering Services Contract.
FISCAL NOTE: No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
