Formal Bids Received July 29, 2021 for S92-S29952 - Approve various awards, as shown below, in the amount not to exceed $1,176,207.00 for linear, low-density polyethylene bags for various departments.
Specifics Explanation:
The Chief Procurement Officer recommends that City Council approve various awards, as shown below, in the amount not to exceed $1,176,207.00 for linear, low-density polyethylene bags for various departments. It is further requested that authorization be given to make purchases, as needed, for a 31-month period with two one-year options. These awards consist of various types of linear low-density polyethylene bags to be used by various departments for trash can liners.
This project was advertised in accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas bid laws. Twenty prospective bidders downloaded the solicitation document from SPD’s e-bidding website, and eight bids were received as detailed below.
Unipak Corp.: Awarded on its low overall bid for Item Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 (low-density polyethylene bags of different colors, sizes, and thickness) in the amount not to exceed $1,122,371.00.
