Summary:

RECOMMENDATION from Director Houston Public Works, reviewed and approved by the Joint Referral Committee, on request from Tabish Siddique Walter P. Moore, on behalf of Jim Arnold, 2 ML Real Estate Interests, Inc., declining the acceptance of, rejecting and refusing the dedication of a 10-foot-wide utility easement located within Lots 4 through 9, Block 2 of the Dudley Place Subdivision, out of the D. W. C. Harris Survey, Abstract 325, Parcel SY21-063 - DISTRICT D - EVANS-SHABAZZ

Background:

SUBJECT:  Request for a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting and refusing the dedication of a 10 foot-wide utility easement located within Lots 4 through 9, Block 2 of the Dudley Place Subdivision, out of the D.W.C. Harris Survey, Abstract 325.

RECOMMENDATION:  It is recommended City Council approve a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting, and refusing the dedication of a 10 foot-wide utility easement located within Lots 4 through 9, Block 2 of the Dudley Place Subdivision, out of the D.W.C. Harris Survey, Abstract 325.  Parcel SY21-063 

 

SPECIFIC EXPLANATION: Tabish Siddiqui, Walter P. Moore, 1301 McKinney Street, Houston, Texas, 77010, on behalf of Jim Arnold, 2 ML Real Estate Interests, Inc. requested the non-acceptance of a 10 foot-wide utility easement located within Lots 4 through 9, Block 2 of the Dudley Place Subdivision, out of the D.W.C. Harris Survey, Abstract 325. The applicant plans to incorporate the easement to be non-accepted into its underlying fee-owned property for construction of the Levit Green mixed-use development that will include office space, shops, apartments, and research facilities. The utility easement has never been used for utility purposes and the City has identified no future need for the utility easement. The Joint Referral Committee reviewed and approved the request. 

 

Therefore, it is recommended City Council approve a motion declining the acceptance of, rejecting and refusing the dedication of a 10 foot-wide utility easement located within Lots 4 through 9, Block 2 of the Dudley Place Subdivision, out of the D.W.C. Harris Survey, Abstract 325.
