Ordinance appropriating $1,900,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund for the SAP HR-One HCM Project for Houston Information Technology Services and various other departments.
SPECIFIC EXPLANATION:
The Chief Information Officer recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $1,900,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for the SAP HR-One HCM Project for Houston Information Technology Services (HITS) and various other departments. The following project is budgeted in the approved FY2022 Capital Improvement Plan adopted by City Council.

The SAP HR-One HCM Project upgrades components of the on-premise Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/SAP applications to a cloud-based solution. This project consolidates, modernizes, and updates the City’s HR system of record to a cloud-based (SaaS) solution for managing various HR functions. This upgrade includes integrating core data with talent and business processes leading to increased insight, strategic decision making, and better business performance. The existing agreement with SAP Public Services, Inc. will be utilized for the purchase of software and licenses. The existing Enterprise Application Managed Services contracts will be utilized for professional services and implementation support.
Fiscal Note:
No significant Fiscal Operating impact is anticipated as a result of this project.
