The Chief Information Officer recommends that City Council approve an ordinance to appropriate $2,517,000.00 from the Equipment Acquisition Consolidated Fund (1800) for the planned Network Refresh Project. The following is budgeted in the approved FY2022 Capital Improvement Plan adopted by City Council.

This planned network refresh is required to maintain and support the City's growing technological needs. The requested appropriation will allow for the purchase and replacement of network infrastructure that is nearing end of life or end of support. This purchase is needed to enhance the City's network performance and security, and ensure continued regulatory compliance. This appropriation will also allow for the purchase of professional services. An existing contract will be utilized for the purchase of hardware, software licensing, support, and maintenance. Furthermore, existing contracts, including the Enterprise Infrastructure Managed Services contracts, will be utilized for the professionals services portion of the project.
Fiscal Note:
No significant Fiscal Operating Impact is anticipated because of this project.
