Formal Bids Received June 17, 2021, for S84-N29647 – Approve an award to Philadelphia Mixing Solutions LLC in the total amount of $222,877.00 for reactor mixer gearbox assembly and components for Houston Public Works.
Specific Explanation:
The Director of the Houston Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that City Council approve an award to Philadelphia Mixing Solutions LLC in the total amount of $222,877.00 to furnish and deliver the reactor mixer gearbox assembly and components and that authorization be given to issue a purchase order for Houston Public Works (HPW).
This award consists of (3) various sizes of PMSL raven 3861M mixer gearboxes assembly and (3) various sizes of spare blade tips components for these PMSL raven 3861 mixer gearboxes assembly that will be used as a replacement for the 69th street wastewater treatment plant located at 2525 S.Sgt. Macario Garcia, Drive, Houston, Texas 77020. The new equipment will come with a one-year warranty, and the life expectancy is 15-20 years. HPW’s field personnel will dismantle the existing equipment and inventory all salvageable components for future repairs. The HPW’s field personnel will dispose of the existing non-working parts in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
This project was advertised in accordance with the requirements of the State of Texas bid laws. Twelve (12) prospective bidders downloaded the solicitation documents from SPD’s e-bidding website, and three (3) bids were received as outlined below.
